[Solved] touchpad only partially working

#1 Post by lucyferu »

hello!

once again, just to clarify, im new to debian, but not to linux (even though im not a pro).

ive installed debian a couple of days ago and, beside the bluetooth issue mentioned in another post, i've noticed my laptop touchpad doesnt work properly neither.

i can move the point and right and left click are fine when i actually press the "button" in the bottom right and bottom left.

instead, if i want to go for a single touch for a left click or a double touch/double finger for a right click, that doesn't work.
holding down two fingers for scrolling and/or zooming doesnt work neither.

anyone that can help?

leaving this in case it is helpful:

You can try installing the xserver-xorg-input-synaptics package and then log out and then back in again. Some additional options should appear in the "Mouse and Touchpad: settings. You may have to pick the touchpad from the device list.
