Hi all,
I've got a USB keyboard plugged into a recently built PC (this week). Debian 11 LTS (Bullseye) on Kernel 5.10.0-23-amd64
I've had it twice now in 2 days that the keyboard ghosts me. I've tried with/without a powered USB hub.
It'll just unceremoniously stop working. Restarting reinvokes the keyboard.
I'm not sure how to trace the failure, but this keyboard is also quite old. I'm not opposed to just buying another keyboard, but I'd really like to not throw any more money this month (the PC build has already gone over budget).
Let me know what to look for, and thanks in advance!

Check the systemd journal for any relevant error messages.
Are you sure the cable and/or connector are fine? They are usually the first point of failure.
Does the keyboard work reliably if you load up a live ISO image? That would help eliminate mis-configuration as a cause.
