With no concern for the practical, is it possible to begin with a Buzz installation and work one's way up through the historic stable releases to present day Bookworm?
On bare metal, without changing hardware in the process?

If the right hardware choices were made starting on an early i586 towards the end of Buzz's release cycle then I think it could have made it. As far as starting now with available repositories I'd expect a few gaps depending on hardware choices.
