[Solved] Cups unable to detect printer

#1 Post by f.r3d »

Hi everyone,

I have recently reinstalled my Debian 12 Plasma system and I can't manage to set up my Canon Pixma TS6050. Before I reinstalled my system, it worked (almost) perfectly out of the box. I set it up using cups on http://localhost:631/, it was detected automatically over wifi (through an ISP router) and I had no issue. But now it is not detected and I don't know what to do. I browsed many pages to troubleshoot this issue but to no avail. I don't know if it linked with user groups, firewall or whatever... Can someone guide me please? Thank you!

[EDIT]

Someone in the IRC told me to allow mdns in the firewall and it worked!
