[Sound] Bt speaker not recognized as audio device after pipewire install

#1 Post by belic_a »

Recently I installed pipewire so I could share my screen, after that my bluetooth speaker is not working.
Bluetooth connects to speaker but speaker shows as other device while my headset shows as audio device and works as expected.
Both speaker and headset worked perfectly before pipewire installation.

Pipewire installed using this commands: https://www.pascom.net/doc/en/howto/ubu ... ire-audio/

System info:
Debian version: 12
KDE Plasma version: 5.27.5
Kernel version: 6.1.0-18-amd64
Bluetooth: Intel Corp. AX201 Bluetoot
Bt speaker: Marshall Stanmore III

I think it might have been a better idea to use Debian's documentation to install pipewire on Debian.

https://wiki.debian.org/PipeWire#Bluetooth
we see things not as they are, but as we are.

Adding line

Code: Select all

ControllerMode=bredr
in /etc/bluetooth/main.conf
and reboot solved my issue.
