After updating to kernel linux-image-6.1.0-20-amd64, I receive error messages in the system log:

These error messages appear both on my desktop with an Intel wifi card (iwlwifi module) and on my laptop with an Atheros card (ath9k). Booting back into the kernel linux-image-6.1.0.18-amd64 fixes the issue.

I do not think it is the security update 6.1.0.20 since I also have bluetooth connection problem on 6.1.0.18.

If you had bluetooth connection problem on 6.1.0.18, please open a new discussion (or continue on your previously opened discussion).

the problem is definitely not related to the latest kernel 6.1.0.20 as I am running that version after I had the issue with bluetooth and it runs fine under that version.

That's not what the OP reported in this discussion (so far). Please stay on topic.

I have met exactly the same problem, and my bluetooth works on 6.1.0.18 but not 6.1.0.20.

@zzhang1987 ,
@Victor Brand
Did you check for missing firmware messages ? You can use the following command (root password required):
Code: Select all
script log.txt
su -l -c "journalctl -b --grep firmw"
exit
The output will be in file named log.txt

I have two machines running 6.1.0-20 that I had to correct by reinstalling bluetooth and pipwire and they worked. After a restart of one workstation bluetooth stopped working properly.
