HP Stream 14-cb164wm, Debian 12 KDE - wifi card stopped being detected

#1 Post by soairse »

I had this problem about a year ago, and the cause turned out to be a hair that had gotten into the wifi card port; this time it's clean and I don't see any damage on the pins or anything either. I also tried replacing it with another card that I had bought last time, and that didn't work.

Terminal commands:

s@irse:~$ inxi

Hello,

Can you report for your wifi network card the following information ?
  1. the computer port to which your wifi network card is connected (type of port)
  2. the manufacturer and model of your wifi network card
  3. the link to the user manual
  4. the output of the lsusb command
Hope this helps.
