Interesting, thanks!
I actually tried using the CDE theme from the fvwm website itself, but it seems to be made for an older version.

Re: What does your desktop look like?
Yes. That's exactly how it is. It for the old FVWM version.
Also, you can check this brilliant wm (fork of motif wm) emwm. EMWM is a fork of the Motif Window Manager with fixes and enhancements. The idea behind this is to provide compatibility with current xorg extensions and applications, without changing the way the window manager looks and behaves. This includes support for multi-monitor setups trough Xinerama/Xrandr, UFT-8 support with Xft fonts, and overall better compatibility with software that requires Extended Window Manager Hints.
This wm developer has also created a simple file manager very suitable for these window managers and a simple image viewer in the spirit of Motf....
Here screens:
P.S.
I made .deb packages with package
Code: Select all
checkinstall
for Emwm and Ximaging.

Re: What does your desktop look like?
I'm definitely interested in trying it some time, but it sounds like it doesn't have virtual desks/pages? Or does it? I use those quite a lot in my workflow.
I love Aria of Sorrow and Harmony of Dissonance (a lot of people seem to dislike the latter, but something about it makes me like it). Here's the full original image if you want it:

Re: What does your desktop look like?
Thank you so much! I live these games as well. I'm currently playing through Dawn of Sorrow for the first time, so this wallpaper is a great gift.
I think Aria of Sorrow for me is on the same level as Symphony of the Night if you ignore the hardware limitations when comparing. Dawn is a slightly worse sequel, albeit just because it's mostly more of the same.

Re: What does your desktop look like?
For some reason Dawn just hasn't stuck in my memory as much as Aria did. I don't remember much about it at all, other than not being fond of the change of the artstyle. I actually remember the other DS games more because I really liked Shanoa in the case of OoE, and for PoR it's hard to forget CHARLOTTE JONATHON CHARLOTTEcanci wrote: ↑2023-08-03 08:28 Thank you so much! But yeah Aria is really hard to beat. Such a tight game.

Re: What does your desktop look like?
My Debian desktop looks similar to my Manjaro install, but completely different colors.
It uses the themes of my last Debian spin. All the themes are mine. Lightdm and Grub use the same background and color themes.

Re: What does your desktop look like?
I love seeing these captures but not for what many think. It's comical to see that sometimes folks don't realize just what they are exposing. Not always but there can be times. From the possible pirated movies/music to inadvertently showing an email address or other personal bits.
