I just installed debian and kde, and everything looks great on startup. The resolution is 800x600. My laptop screen is 1024x768 and I have an ATI Mobility 7500 video card.
When I switch to 1024x768 the screen wraps around horizontally (the same things such as the menu and clock will appear on both sides of my screen) and my mouse turns into a fuzzy square.
I tried to edit XF86Config-4 to use the Radeon driver, but I was denied access to the file.
Thanks for your help.

Re: screen problems
You need to be root to edit 'XF86Config-4'.jordan wrote:I tried to edit XF86Config-4 to use the Radeon driver, but I was denied access to the file.
