Debian with S6 ?

Has anyone here tried running Debian with S6 as init and service supervision? I installed S6 on Bullseye and found (# aptitude install s6) and found no evidence of it doing anything. The documentation for S6 is massive (meant for developers) which is less than helpful to an amateur user.
